Bhubaneswar: It is going to be a show of strength for Congress, Left and 13 other parties when they would hit the streets in Bhubaneswar tomorrow. Alleging failure on part the Centre and Odisha government, Congress, Left and other parties will stage a demonstration at Master Canteen square and submit a memorandum to Odisha Governor tomorrow.

However, both the BJD and BJP have termed it as a political gimmick.

Odisha government chief whip, Pramilla Mallick stated that Congress has already lost the plot and is resorting to such tactics only to remain in relevance.

“Every State, Centre and others across the world have appreciated Odisha’s COVID-19 management strategy. Odisha is the only State which had pre-planned everything in view of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Mallick.

Mallick further stated that there is no harm to take help of Centre and work in tandem whenever any State is facing problems.

Echoing similar views, State BJP General Secretary, Prithviraj Harichandan said, “The parties which have become redundant in Indian politics and are speaking voice of China are indulging in such acts during COVID-19 pandemic.”

Harichandan further stated that when the country is limping back to normalcy and witnessing a steep growth in COVID-19 recovery rate, Congress and Left parties are trying to mislead people by creating panic.
