Gajapati: Passengers at Paralakhemundi railway station are having a tough time for the last two days owing to technical glitch.

According to sources, passengers are only getting tickets till Naupada railway station, where they have to get down and book tickets for their respective stations. Some passengers have alleged that they often miss trains.

"They are giving a handwritten receipt and issuing one receipt for five passengers. If at any case we miss the train the authorities are not doing anything to help us," said a passenger Nilanchala Panda.

"If the issues are not resolved at the earliest, we will stage protest," said  Convenor of Railway Security Forum, Prashant Pradhan.

Acknowledging the technical glitch, railway authorities have said that the concerned department has been informed about the issue.

"We have informed about the issues to our concerned department. We are providing necessary help to our passengers," said Station Master, Pitambhar Padhi.
