Bhubaneswar: Odisha continued to reel under intense cold wave as temperature remained below 10 degree Celsius in many parts of the State and is expected to fall further in the coming two days.

The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar on Thursday predicted that minimum temperature across Odisha might fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius during next 2 days. Similarly, the mercury levels are expected to fall below normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius at a few places in the interior districts and by 2-3 0 C at a few places over the coastal districts of the State.

The Met Centre also said that shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Nayagarh and Kandhamal district on December 31.

Meanwhile, severe cold wave conditions and dense fog have thrown normal life out of gear across the State. People are preferring to stay indoors and taking to bonfires to keep themselves warm. Vehicular movement is also getting severely affected due to fog during the morning hours across Odisha.
