Bhubaneswar: Get ready to witness a fresh spell of winter chill as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that several parts of Odisha will experience cold wave conditions till February 4.

As per the latest weather bulletin, the minimum temperature (night temperature) in several parts of Odisha, especially in interior parts is likely to fall by 3 to 5 degree Celsius and 2 to 3 degrees in coastal districts during the next 2 to 3 days.

Apart from the cold wave, the IMD has also issued alert for dense fog cover several parts of Odisha in the next couple of days.

Day 1 (Valid till 0830 Hours Of January 31)

Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occurat a few places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati,Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Koraput

Yellow Warning:

Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Kendrapara Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Jajpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul and Kandhamal

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 Hours Of January 31till 0830 Hours Of February 1)

Yellow Warning (Be updated)

Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Ganjam
Cold wave condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh and Jharsuguda

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 Hours Of February 1till 0830 Hours Of February 2)

Yellow Warning (Be updated)

Cold wave condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh and Jharsuguda

Impact & Action Suggested:

Stay indoors and avoid movement during night and early morning to avoid prolonged exposure to cold.
