Bhubaneswar: The cold conditions are expected to prevail in interiors parts of Odisha for the next five days and the weather is likely to remain dry during the period, informed the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar.

The cold conditions in several parts of interior Odisha will prevail for the next five days. However, there is no large change in the minimum temperature (Night Temperature) during the period, said weather expert at Bhubaneswar Met Centre, Umashankar Das.

Meanwhile, shallow to moderate fog was witnessed over the districts of Coastal Odisha including Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Boudh today.

Similarly, yellow warning for dense fog has been issued eight districts including Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri, Angul and Dhenkanal district till 8.30 AM Monday.

On Tuesday, shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places in the early morning over Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, Puri, Nayagarh, Kandhamal and Khurda districts.

Meanwhile, temperature continued to plummet in Sonepur affecting normal lives in the district. Dense fog was also witnessed in several parts of Sonepur district today reducing the visibility below 30 metres.

"Temperature has continued to drop in Sonepur since the last 10 days and dense fog in the early morning is giving a tough time to the motorists," said a local resident of Biramaharajpur in Sonepur.
