Paradip: In a case of massive misappropriation of public money, coins worth over Rs 14 lakh have allegedly gone missing from the Union Bank of India branch at Paradip of Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district.

As per reports, the coins worth Rs 14,86,780 have gone missing from the bank between 2016 and 2020. The matter came to light during the internal audit of the nationalised bank.

Meanwhile, the bank manager has lodged a complaint in this regard at Lock police station. In the complaint, the manager has reportedly accused four bank officials of being involved in the crime.

Sources said that a complaint has been lodged against four bank officials including the branch manager while the coins were misappropriated between 2016 and 2021.
