Class VI Student Commits 'Suicide' In Odisha

Rourkela: A 14-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide at Basanti Colony under Uditnagar Police limits of Sundergarh district on Friday morning.

According to reports, Harekrusha Sahoo, a class VI student of Saint Summer School, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his house at Basanti Colony.

Father of Harekrushna, Pradeep Sahoo said his son took the extreme step when no one was present in the house. He said that, “Harekrusha was sad and depressed. He used to cry on being asked to go to school.”

Even after repeated reprimands, he was unwilling to go to schools, added Pradeep.

Meanwhile, Uditnagar Police has registered a case and is currently investigating the matter.
