Class IX Student Goes Missing After Falling Off Bridge Into River In Rourkela

Rourkela: A Class IX student of a private English medium school went missing after falling off Jharipani bridge into Koel river in Rourkela of Sundergarh district this afternoon.

According to reports, the student who has been identified as Nilesh Dash accidentally fell off the bride and has been untraceable since. Nilesh’ bicycle and school bag were found abandoned on the bridge.

On being informed, a team of Fire personnel and Jhirapani Police launched a rescue operation to trace him. As per latest reports, the rescue operation has been halted due to darkness and would resume tomorrow.
