Bhubaneswar: The School and Mass Education Department today announced the second cut-off mark for admission into different streams of Plus Two colleges across Odisha. The cut-off marks are available on the website www.samsodisha.gov.in.

In science stream, cut-off at Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School has been recorded as 87.83% followed by Saraswati Vidya Mandir College Higher Secondary School (87.67%), BJB Higher Secondary School (87.50%).

In commerce stream, with 80%, Bhuban Women’s Higher Secondary School in Dhenkanal has become most sought after Institute. The merit list of other colleges in the Commerce stream is as follows- Panchayat Higher Secondary School, Lathor in Bolangir (77.83%), and BJB Higher Secondary School at 77.33%.

On the other hand, in arts stream, cut-off mark of Shailabala Women’s Higher Secondary School in Cuttack is 78.67% while in Patita Paban Higher Secondary School in Keonjhar, the cutoff mark is 77.50%.

As many as 4,41,306 students had registered their names for admission into 2001 Plus Two junior colleges across the state.

The second phase admission will be done from July 11 to July 12 while the classes are slated to begin from July 24.

The first phase admission was done between July 2 and July 5.

As many as 5,90,363 students had appeared the High School Certificate (HSC) Examinations in 2818 exam centres between February 23 and March 8.The results were announced on May 7.
