Bhubaneswar: Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar's 'Chhapaak', starring Deepika Padukone, based on a real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal, has already created a buzz as the movie narrates the saga of the courageous journey of Malti, played by the 'Return of Xander Cage' actress.

Apart from Deepika, the star cast of the movie include Odia actor Chittaranjan Tripathy, whose character of an investigating Police Inspector in the movie has received a thumbs up from audience.

Tripathy, who has already proved his mettle as an excellent theatre actor, had also directed Odia cult movies like Dhauli Express and Mukhyamantri.

Playing a crucial role in Chhapaak, Tripathy has not disappointed audience, said a movie lover in Bhubaneswar and heaved praises on the actor from Odisha.

Odisha IAS officer & ICRISAT director Arabinda Padhee tweeted, “The brilliant cast of #Chhapaak includes talented #Odia artist Chittaranjan Tripathy (in the role of investigating Police Inspector). I’d earlier spotted his excellence as a theatre actor in the play, Gunobai along with Pushpa Panda and @samareshroutray.”
