Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik owns assets worth around Rs 64.98 crore as on March 31, 2020, an increase of over Rs 71 lakh (approx) as compared to the previous year.

As per the declaration made by the Chief Minister, his total assets stood at Rs 64,98,197.63 which included movable property worth Rs 13,404,503.1 and immovable inherited properties valued at Rs 63,64,07,261.

Last year, Naveen's assets was estimated over Rs 64.26 crore which included movable property of Rs 23,26,554.52 and immovable inherited property was valued at over Rs 63,64,15,261.

Meanwhile, the cash deposits at Naveen's several bank accounts increased from Rs 60.45 lakh in 2019 to Rs 1.31 crore in 2020.

Naveen has an Ambassador car of 1980 model which is valued at around Rs 8,905 and he possesses jewellery worth around Rs 2,89,587, revealed the CM in his declaration.

The CM has a farm land and building in an area of 22.7 acre at Tikri Khera village of Faridabad valued at Rs 10,75,51,071, as per the valuation done in March, 2017.

Similarly, Naveen owns 50% share of his ancestral property situated at APJ Abdul Kalam Road in New Delhi valued at Rs 43,36,18,000. Besides, the BJD president owns two-third share of Naveen Niwas worth over Rs 9,52,46,190.

Naveen also has a financial liability of Rs 1.25 crore which he had taken as an advance against the sale of farmland at Faridabad vide an agreement dated September 18, 2019.

Last year, the CM had a liability of Rs 15 lakh which he had taken from his elder sister Gita Mehta. However, he has paid the loan this year.

On CM Naveen's property details, Odisha BJP general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan said that the BJD leaders, including the Chief Minister, should submit a comparative property details of their asset in the last 10 years. "They should also make their year-over-year increase in income and its source public," he added.
