CB seizes over 50 bank accounts of arrested gangster Tito

Cuttack/Kendrapara: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch has started seizing the bank accounts of arrested gangster Tito alias Syed Usman Ali. The STF sleuths have so far freezed more than 50 bank accounts in the name of Tito, his wife and 18 associates, sources said.

The task force has also directed seven tehsildars of Kendrapara, Mahakalapada, Pattamundai, Dharmasala, Balichandrapur, Garadpur and Marsaghai to provide information about his morrum quarry at Balighat besides details related to his land related property in Kendrapara district.

The CB has also asked information regarding a hospital project titled Child and Care worth Rs 110 crore. Similarly, the ST is also probing into his Rs. 1.1 crore land deal in Kolkata, sources added.

On the other hand, the CB has also unearthed the gangster’s links with Ollywood industry. Sources said Tito through his brother invested in the Odia movie ‘Biswanath’ scheduled to hit the theatres in September this year.

Tito was initially taken on a five-day remand following his arrest in an encounter by the CB near Chandikhole in Jajpur on June 30.

Later, the Kendrapara SDJM Court again allowed the investigating agency to take the gangster on a four-day remand on July 9 for eliciting more information about his crime network, business network and inter-state links.
