Case Against Mayurbhanj MP & Rairangpur MLA For Locking Up ITDA Office

Rairangpur: A case has been registered against Mayurbhanj MP Biseswar Tudu and Rairangpur MLA Nabacharan Majhi for locking up of the local Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) office in the district.

As per reports, the case was registered based on a complaint lodged by ITDA -PA Anant Narayan Singh Laguri. Sources said both the Mayurbhanj MP and Rairangpur MLA had gone to ITDA office to review development works in the tribal area during when a verbal spat broke out between the ITDA -PA and the MP.

Later, irate supporters of the MP locked up the ITDA office.

After getting information about the incident, Rairangpur Sub-Collector and Sub Divisional Police Officer reached the spot and broke open the lock.

While no comments could be obtained from the Rairangpur MLA, the Mayurbhanj MP said, "We locked up the gate of ITDA as the agency which was meant for executing development work for tribals has now become useless."
