Boudh: Excise department sleuths along with officials of revenue and forest department destroyed massive cannabis plantation in Manamunda area of Boudh district on Thursday. The estimated cost of the cannabis plantation is said to be around Rs 11 crore.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team comprising officials of police, excise, revenue and forest department was constituted to destroy the cannabis plantation which had come up on 107 acres of land approximately.
It is pertinent to mention here that Odisha Police has intensified crackdown on illegal cannabis cultivation in different parts of the State.
Recently, a joint team of excise sleuths, cops and forest department had destroyed ganja cultivation done on 150 acres of land in Phulbani district on November 25.
