Bhubaneswar: Amidst the ongoing protests over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of a Twitter outreach campaign with hashtag #IndiaSuppportsCAA. Meanwhile, the Odisha unit of the party has set a target of 10 lakh tweets in a day to spread the message.
"The CAA is not about taking away the citizenship of any citizen of India. We want to post 10 lakh tweets from different places of the State to spread this message," said State BJP general secretary, Prithviraj Harichandan.
BJD leader and Rajya Sabha member Pratap Deb said, "The way the opposition Congress and a few media houses are projecting the issue, misinformation has spread across the country. The initiative that the Centre has taken to make people aware about CAA will uncover the truth."
