Businessman Robbed Of Rs 6.5 Lakh In Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: In a broad daylight heist, two unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs 6.5 lakh from a businessman near LIC office in Nabarangpur district on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as one Ramesh Parekh of Chhattisgarh's Jagdalpur.

According to reports, Parekh was talking over phone near the LIC office when two bike-borne miscreants snatched away the bag from him at around 2.30 pm on Saturday. The looter duo fled the spot on the two-wheeler after committing the offence.

“I was attending my wife’s call, when the miscreants snatched away the money, which I had collected from my business transaction,” said Parekh.

The victim has lodged a complaint in this regard with Nabarangpur police. Efforts were on by the police to identify and trace the looters.
