Budget session of Odisha Assembly from June 25

Bhubaneswar: The Budget session of the 16th Odisha Assembly will begin from June 25 and continue till August 8 in two phases. The first phase of the session will be from June 25 to July 2 while the second from July 12 to August 8.

Governor Ganesh Lal will address the House on the first day of the session while a discussion on motion of thanks on Governor’s speech will be on June 26 and 27. Deputy Speaker of the House will be elected on June 27.

As per a notification issued by the Assembly Secretariat, Odisha Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the budget for 2019-20 financial year on June 28. General discussion on the budget will be held on July 1 and 2.

The appropriation bill on the budget for 2020 fiscal will be passed in the House on July 31.
