Bolangir: A few days after a lady working in the Bolangir collector’s office accused the district sub-collector of misbehaviour, a three-member team was formed on Friday to probe the allegations.

The team, led by a woman official, will probe the allegations. It has already recorded the statement of the lady, who has demanded strong action against the accused, Sanjay Mishra and also requested the collector to transfer her to a different office.

The matter came to light after the lady lodged a written complaint with the district collector alleging that his subordinate tried to outrage her modesty.

Taking cognizance of the matter, the collector has reportedly formed a three-member team led by a woman official to probe the allegations, said sources.

The lady lodged a written complaint with the district Collector alleging his subordinate to have outraged her modesty by sexually harassing her. She further demanded immediate action against the accused.

Meanwhile, as per the complainant’s request, she has been transferred to another place.

Suchita Puspa, the lead investigating officer of this case said, “The complainant was working here as a Junior Assistant. We have conducted a counselling session with her and noticed all the concerned parties for inquiry."

No comments could be obtained from the accused sub-collector in this regard.
