Bhubaneswar: Two youths claiming themselves to be BJP activists today forcibly entered the party State president Basant Panda’s chamber and threatened him at ‘gun point’ at the party headquarters here. Later the duo were overpowered by other party activists and handed over to police.

Panda told mediapersons that the two youths had come to his office yesterday also and asked for some financial help from the PM’s relief fund or CM’s relief fund.

“They asked for help for treatment of their father,” he said.

“I had told them to come with proper documents, but today the duo forcibly entered and started threatening me,” Panda elaborated.

Later the Commissionerate Police arrested the duo and clarified that they threatened Panda with a toy gun.

The two youths identified themselves as Pinaki Mohanty and Sambit Panda.
