Bhubaneswar: The government railway police (GRP) today said the two youths who were detained and thrashed at the city railway station were ‘legally’ transporting cattle.

After carrying out an investigation to find out the reason behind cattle transportation, the GRP in its preliminary inquiry found that the duo was 'legally' transporting the cows.

On Wednesday, Bajrang Dal and Hinduraksha Sangathan activists thrashed two persons and rescued around 20 cows from the Kochuveli-Guwahati super-fast express. They alleged the duo of transporting the cows to slaughterhouses.
