Youth’s body found, murder suspected

Rairangpur: The body of a youth was recovered from a nullah near Jharadihi village under Tiring police limits in Mayurbhanj district on Friday.

The deceased, identified as Lakhindara Munda of Dhipasahi village is suspected to have been murdered as his body carries injury marks at several places including head.

Family members stated that Munda had left home at around 4 pm on February 1 and had informed that he will be visiting the nearby bazaar later. However, he did not return home till late last night.

A group of local villagers spotted Munda's body in the nullah on Friday and informed the family and police.

Police along with forensic team have reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
