Youth tied up, thrashed for passing lewd comments

Banki: Indecent manner of approaching girls backfired on a youth after he was beaten black and blue allegedly over passing lewd comments on a group of college girls here in Banki village.

The incident occurred on Wednesday near Tulasipur Bazar under Banki police limits when the accused, a resident of nearby Jamundi village, passed lewd comments and kept following the girls of Banki College.

The matter came to light after repeated misbehavior by the youth.

Distressed and fed up, the girls informed their family members, who caught hold of the man, tied him to an electric pole near the Tulasipur Bazar and beat him mercilessly with sticks.

However, no complaint has yet been registered with the police in this regard.
