Youth tied to motorcycle, dragged to police station for harassing woman

Brahmagiri: Taking the law into their own hands, locals today chained a youth to a motorcycle and dragged him to police station for misbehaving with a woman at Brahmagiri in Odisha’s Puri district.

The matter came to light after the video of the shocking incident went viral.

According to reports, the youth, Ramesh Bhoi was harassing a married woman over telephone for the last eight days.

Perturbed over repeated harassment, the relatives of the woman decided to teach the ‘unknown caller’ a lesson.

As per plans, the woman’s family members laid a trap by luring the youth to meet her at a place at Bentpur and caught him when he arrived at the spot.

In a bid to teach him a lesson, the family members tied Ramesh to a motorcycle and dragged him for nearly 1.5 km to the nearest police station.
