Youth shot dead in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped Salia sahi area after a youth was shot dead on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Ashwini Majhi of Tarini Nagar in Salia sahi area. He was working as a house keeper.

According to sources, some unidentified miscreants opened five rounds of fire at Majhi causing his death on the spot.

On being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and seized the body. The body was later sent to Capital hospital for autopsy.

The exact reason behind the murder is unknown. It can be ascertained only after the completion of the investigation, said a police official.
