Youth shot at by miscreants dies in IGH

Rourkela: A youth, who was shot at by three unidentified miscreants last night by some unidentified miscreants, succumbed to his injuries at the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in the late night hours.

Reports said three miscreants came on a bike and opened fire at Ashish Agrawal from behind in front of City Super Bazaar under Udit Nagar police limits at about 9.30 PM and fled the area.

Following the incident, locals rushed him to IGH where he succumbed to his injuries in the late night hours.

The deceased was staying in a lane near the City Super Bazaar.

While police is yet to trace out the assailants, sources in the locality said the incident was a fallout of business rivalry.

Police, in the meanwhile, has registered a case under section 302 and 34 of IPC and section 25 of Arms Act and started investigation into the incident.
