Youth hacked to death in Puri

Puri: A youth, identified as Niranjan, was hacked to death over previous enmity at Kuapada village in Delang block of the district today.

According to sources, Niranjan had gone to attend nature's call early today morning when he was attacked by four to five miscreants. He was first admitted to Delang hospital under critical condition and later shifted to Capital hospital in Bhubaneswar as his condition deteriorated.

Niranjan breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Capital hospital.

Political rivalry and tender fixing is suspected to be the reason behind the attack. Police has initiated investigation into the case.
