Youth found dead; family alleges murder

Jajpur: Body of a youth with several injury marks was found behind the Taljang panchayat godown in Jenapur of Jajpur district today.

The deceased has been identified as Gopabandhu Sethi.

Family members alleged that Gopabandhu had gone missing since yesterday from a feast organised on the occasion of an ‘Ashtaprahari.’

Tapan Sethi, brother of Gopabandhu, said, “Few days back one Baburam of the village had threatened my brother with his life. Today Gopabandhu was found dead.”

Family members also claimed Gopabandhu has been murdered and the incident is fallout of a quarrel between two groups of Bichhakhandi mining area.

On receiving information, police reached at the spot and have started a probe.
