Bhubaneswar: Members of the Indian Youth Congress today organised a rally in Bhubaneswar alleging central government's failure to resolve farmers' issues and provide employment to youths.

A bike rally was also carried out by the Youth Congress members under "Yuva Adhikaar Samavesh" during which a scuffle broke out between the Police and members of the Youth Congress at Raj Mahal Square of the city.

Congress leader Sangram Jena alleged that both the Centre and the State have failed to provide employment to the youths of Odisha.

"Neither the Centre nor the State government has been able to provide jobs to youth. While youths of Odisha are going outside the State to work in factories, most of the jobs in Odisha have been given to outsiders," Jena said.

"This is not an individual's fight, but of lakhs of unemployed youths," he added.

The rally was attended by OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik, Congress leader Chiranjib Biswal, President of Indian Youth Congress Keshav Jadhav and Vice-President BV Srinivas.

During the rally, the members raised slogans against the Centre and urged everyone to fight against injustice.

According to sources, the protesting members have also planned to gherao Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's residence Naveen Niwas.
