Youth beats mother to death in Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: In a bizarre incident, a youth beat his mother to death at Jangalpadu village under Gurandi police limits in Gajapati district today.

The deceased was identified as Rohini Mallick.

Sources said Rohini’s younger son Sanjay Mallick came home in an inebriated condition yesterday and thrashed his mother with a wooden plank.  Rohini died on the spot.

Rohini’s elder son Babuli Mallick filed a complaint at the Gurundi police station, basing on which police detained Sanjay and interrogating him.
