Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police today arrested a youth on charges of selling a pirated version of ‘Love Station’, the super-hit movie produced by the Tarang Cine Productions, and forwarded him to a local court.

Another accused managed to escape. Both of them have been identified as employees of KSS Digital, which was given the distribution rights for ‘Love Station’.

The cops also seized a computer CPU which was being used to make pirated CDs of the movie.

Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said, “The Laxmisagar police has arrested one person on the basis of a case registered with the police station. The investigation is on.”

Commenting on the development, Ranjan Satapathy of Tarang Cine Productions, said, “The movie was leaked from the upload centre and is available in the market through pirated CDs. We stand to lose business with these activities. We have informed the cyber cell of the police about the case.”

Released on June 12, ‘Love Station’, the fifth venture of Tarang Cine Productions, has been a stupendous commercial success across the state.
