Youth arrested for posting obscene photos of girl

Jajpur: District police on Thursday arrested a youth for allegedly posting obscene pictures of a girl on social media after the victim’s father turned down his marriage proposal.

The incident was reported from Jajpur road area. The accused youth identified as a relative of the girl had sent a marriage proposal but the girl's father had out rightly rejected the offer.

Following his rejection, the accused had posted some obscene images of the girl and had also tagged her sister-in-law as an escort.

After a complaint was lodged by the victim’s family, police arrested the accused.

"After preliminary investigations we have found that the accused had downloaded some obscene images from internet and later attached the victim's photos with it. He had also written some lewd comments on his posts, " Sishira Mishra, Jajpur Road IIC told media persons.
