Bhubaneswar: In an effort to boost the entrepreneurship skills of young minds in Odisha, Young Indians, an integral part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will hold Yi INNOVEX at the Make In Odisha conclave scheduled to begin here from November 30.

The event will feature most successful start-ups and founders from Odisha who have significantly contributed to India’s start-up sector.

“The start-up tycoons will interact with aspiring minds who desperately want to enter into business ventures. They will share their business experience and the industry as well with these people. It will definitely inspire the aspiring minds to give colour to their dreams”, said Tapendra Senepati, Chair, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Yi Bhubaneswar.
Founders of five multi million dollar funded start-ups with roots from Odisha, have given their consent to attend the event.

Srikant Ray, Co-founder, MySmartPrice.com; Santosh Panda, founder Explara.com; Sandip Kumar Panda, Co-founder InstaSafe.com; Arvind Pani, founder, Reverie and Amarendra Sahu, Co-founder, NestAway will share their business experience with the young minds.

Besides, Ritesh Agarwal, founder and CEO of OYO Rooms and Richa Kar, founder and chief executive of online lingerie retailer- Zivame are likely to attend the event.

“Since these young entrepreneurs have Odisha roots and in a short span of time they have carved a niche of their own, we are sure their interaction with young people will ignite the minds to venture into a new world“, said Vivek Batra, Chair, Yi Bhubaneswar.
Student innovators like Lalita Prasida Sripada, winner of Google Science Fair award and Susant Pattnaik, six-time President’s award winner for innovation will attend the event.

At the facilitation centre, as many as 150 registered start-ups with 700-800 employees will share their innovative ideas with students and people. During the event YI INNOVEX will showcase cutting edge technology like robotics, virtual reality, drones/quad copter for citizens to experience and learn.

Visitors to the expo can try hands on drone flying and learn its applications in today’s world. RoboZone will display robots – from small to industrial and will expose the youth to cutting edge robotics.

“We intend to offer an experience of virtual reality consoles to the expo visitors and teach youngsters its application in virtual learning, gaming, virtutal tourism and many more possibilities”, said Sakyasingha Mahapatra, founder, SakRobotix.

The event will witness participation by serial entrepreneurs, business leaders from Silicon Valley, USA and global investor community like angel funds, seed funds and Venture capital funds.
