Malkangiri: Questioning the quality and hygiene of food served to students at schools, one more case of worm infested rice being served to students was reported from Kasturba Gandhi Residential School in Khairaput area here in the district on Sunday.

According to sources, since months unhygienic food is allegedly being served to the students of the school.

The school administration and students alleged that though they have filed regular complaints before the administration,  the authorities remain ignorant in solving their issue.

“Since months we are being served worm infested rice. Sometime we skip meals due to this. Though we have informed higher authority, no action has been taken,” alleged Santi Kabasi, student of the school.

However, after complaint, the problem has been reported to the administration, said Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC).

Meanwhile, officials of District Planning Committee (DPC) reached the school and have launched a probe into the matter.
