Mangalam Timber workers sit on NH-26 demanding reopening of unit

Nabarangpur: Workers of Mangalam Timber factory this morning blocked NH-26 near the Mangalam Timber Chhak in the town demanding reopening of the only industrial unit in Nabarangpur district.

The staff and workers of Mangalam Timber factory have been staging dharna in front of the District Collector’s office for past three days in support of their demands.

They allege several rounds of talks with the Nabarangpur district administration and the authorities of Mangalam Timber factory did not yield any result regarding reopening of the industrial unit, which has been shut without prior notice and clearing the payment to staff for the month of March.
