Deogarh: In an anti-liquor drive, women of 12 villages under Talakundi panchayat ransacked a liquor factory at Madhyapur village on Friday.

The agitating women alleged the men folks are creating troubles after consuming liquor. Though they had written to officials ranging from panchayat to the District Collector office demanding shifting of the liquor factory, they had got only assurance that their demand will be fulfilled by March.

As no action was taken as per the promises, the women ransacked the liquor factory, said a woman of the village.
