Woman tries to immolate self in Rayagada

Rayagada: A woman at Umarsinghguda village under Kashipur police limits in the district allegedly tried to immolate herself by pouring kerosene late last night.

She was admitted to Kashipur community health centre in a critical condition. She has sustained 95 per cent burn injuries and is currently battling for life.

A case has been registered related to the incident at Kashipur police station.

Meanwhile, the reason behind the woman taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
