Woman shot dead by miscreants in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: In a tragic house, a woman was shot dead by some unknown miscreants in her house at Patratoli village under Nuagaon block in the district on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Iliseba Bhengara.

Sources said five youths came on a bike and entered into the house of the woman at around 9.30pm. They searched for Iliseba and when she appeared, the miscreants opened fire at her killing her on the spot. Soon after that the fugitives fled from the spot. The woman had sustained bullet injuries in her abdomen and back.

The reason behind the incident is yet to be known. Police seized the dead body and registered a case in this regard. Investigation is on into incident, police said.
