Woman self-immolates over family dispute

Berhampur: A woman died after immolating herself over some family dispute at Bachuari under Bada Bazar police station here in the city.

The deceased, identified as Sukanti Behera, committed suicide when all her family members were absent at home. Police suspect that family discord might have pushed her to take the drastic step. Other aspects of the case are also being investigated, police said.

The body has been seized for post-mortem, they added. A case has been registered in this regard.
