Malkangiri: A woman Maoist, who was injured in the recent encounter in the cut off areas in Malkangiri district, surrendered before the police today.

The Maoist identified as Dhanmati Bhaja of Dabuguda village in the district surrendered before the Malkangiri SP. She was working for Kudumulugumma committee.

Earlier on October 31, a woman Maoist cadre from Jharkhand had surrendered before the police in Sundargarh district. The woman cadre was Palo Honhanga of Baliba village in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand district.
