Woman found dead on rly track with throat slit

Sambalpur: In a ghastly incident, the deadbody of a woman lying naked with the throat slit, a missing leg and several injury marks was recovered by the GRP personnel on a railway track near Belapada police limits in Sambalpur today.

It is suspected that she might have been raped and killed thereafter.

A water bottle and an umbrella were also found near the railway track.

The scientific team has reached the spot to assist the GRP personnel in the probe.

Till the filing of this report, the identity of the deceased woman was not ascertained.
