Woman found dead in Bhubaneswar, murder suspected

Bhubaneswar: A woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances from a house in Kanan Vihar under Chandrasekharpur police limits of the capital city this morning.

The woman, a resident of Erasama in Jagatsinghpur district, was working in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, sources said.

On getting information, police and forensic personnel reached the spot and began investigation into the incident.

Police suspect she has been murdered after finding deep cuts on her neck. However, the exact cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained.

"We have initiated a probe. There are injury marks on her neck and her throat has been slit. From the preliminary investigation, we suspect she has been murdered. The body will be sent for post mortem. Further investigation is on," said a police official.
