Woman, daughter charred to death in Odisha

Bhadrak: A woman and her seven-year-old daughter died in a major fire mishap at Jaganathkhunta village under Bangiriposhi block in Mayurbhanj district late on Saturday night.

The deceased woman has been identified as Bina Singh while her husband Babaji has also sustained severe burn injuries in the mishap. Babaji is now undergoing treatment at Bhadrak hospital and his condition is said to be critical.

Though the exact cause of fire is still unclear, it is suspected that all the three members could not escape after fire broke and sustained burn injuries.

According to reports, Bina died on the spot, her minor daughter succumbed to burn injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
