Bhubaneswar: The Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairperson of Mayurbhanj district moved the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) today alleging harassment by Rairangpur MLA Saiba Sushil Kumar Hansdah and his associates.
As per the complaint made the victim, during the inauguration of the Aahar program on April 14, Hansdah and his two associates passed inappropriate comments and harassed her. She alleged that the accused also threatened to cause harm to her family.
“They kicked me and then beat me with a lathi. They also pulled by saree and hair. I was scared and left the place. Then they threatened to set my vehicle on fire and thrash me,” said the complainant.
“The charges brought are completely false and if OHRC has been moved, then it will find out the truth. I welcome the probe by OHRC,” said
