Woman attempts suicide in front of Naveen Niwas

Bhubaneswar: A distraught woman who claimed to be wife of BJD's Talcher MLA Braja Kishore Pradhan attempted suicide in front of Odisha CM’s residence-Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar today.

According to sources, the woman alleged that she has been denied justice after being harassed by the MLA. Seeking redressal of her grievance the woman tried to meet the chief minister at his residence today.

However, after the security guards denied her permission citing CM’s absence, the woman tried to commit suicide by slitting her left wrist with a blade.

She was immediately rescued by the DCP (Security) and other guards and rushed to Capital Hospital.

She has also been detained by police for attempting suicide.
