Woman attacked on Capital street; admitted to hospital

Bhubaneswar: In a deadly attack, a woman was critically injured when a miscreant stabbed her with a sharp weapon at Dumduma here this morning.

The injured was identified as Tanuja Kumari Nayak (29). She sustained serious injuries on her neck. She was rushed to the Capital Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital here. The name of the accused is Manas, said the victim in the hospital. Her condition is stated to be stable now.

Sources said the miscreant intercepted the car in which Nayak was travelling and attacked her with a sharp weapon. The accused fled away soon after that. The incident occurred when Nayak was going to Jharkhand with her brother. Police have started investigation into the matter.
