Winter session of Odisha Assembly from Dec 1

Bhubaneswar: The winter session of the Odisha Assembly would begin from December 1.

A notification to this effect was issued by the Assembly Secretariat today after the formal approval of Governor SC Jamir.

Informing media persons, Parliamentary Affairs minister Bikram Keshari Arukh said the supplementary budget for 2016-17 fiscal will be placed in the House on the first day of the session while demand for grants for various departments will be taken up for discussion for three days.

“Besides, the state government has planned to pass some important bills in the House during the session”, he added.

The session will conclude on December 31.
