Bhubaneswar: Discussions regarding the impact of the, Uttar Pradesh and other States, assembly election results on Odisha politics is making the rounds. Will the magic of Modi click in the 2019 elections is a question running in many minds.

How will the results influence and to what extent. Calculations have been started to find out, will the Modi mania that did not work in 2014 work now.

Notably, BJP has already shown its trailer in the three-tier panchayat polls.

On the other hand there are two years in hands of BJD. All eyes are waiting to see the strategies BJD uses to combat BJP. While BJD has said that the current election results will not have any impact in Odisha, Congress said that BJP will gain nothing in the State.

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, talking to media persons said, "A new political chapter is starting, people cannot be cheated for a long time but have to show them the work. The elections will be held on the basis of the development work."

BJD General Secretary and Minister Debi Prasad Mishra said, "It is natural that they are celebrating their victory but it will have no impact on Odisha. There is no need of being perplexed, why should we fill threatened, but we should earn people's trust in a democratic process."

Veteran Congress leader Srikant Jena opined that, "If the coming elections in Odisha is triangular than BJP will earn no profit. So BJP may approach BJD for an alliance, which I suspect, and BJD may also be ready for it."
