Bhadrak: Vigilance sleuths today conducted raids on the properties of Manual Assistant of Weights & Measures Department at Bhadrak, Nabaghana Swain on the allegations of amassing wealth beyond his known sources of income.

Official sources said, assets to the tune of over Rs 50 lakh so far have been unearthed during the raids so far.

As per reports, simultaneous searches were conducted at five places including Swain’s house, government quarters and houses of his relatives and other family members at Bhadrak and Paradip.

A team of Vigilance officials led by DSP SK Bhoi and Sabita Majhi have raided Swain’s ancestral house at Kuansa village in Bhadrak and in-laws house at Garadapur in Chandbali.
