Bolangir: The Crime Branch officials are leaving no stone unturned to gather concrete evidences against Punjilal Meher-prime accused in the wedding gift blast case.

The investigation agency today announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for information on the auto rickshaw driver who helped Punjilal in shipping the parcel.

"Although we have solid evidences against Punjilal, the auto rickshaw driver can help us make the case stronger,” revealed Crime Branch IG Arun Bothra, leading the investigations in the case.

Meanwhile, the crime reconstruction by Punjilal in Raipur has been completed wherein the accused showed a live demonstration of the plot right from his arrival at Raipur in train to booking of the parcel at the courier service.

Senior CB officials informed that the purpose of reconstructing the crime scene was to ensure that the entire case is prosecuted without any error or weaknesses.

The team of CB officials, along with Punjilal today returned to Patnagarh as the second phase of his remand is ending tomorrow. The investigating agency will have to produce the accused before the Patnagarh court by 12:30 pm tomorrow.
