Bolangir: Expediting probe in the Wedding Gift Blast case, the cyber experts today began investigation at the office of Bolangir Superintendent of Police.

The cyber experts were called soon after a love angle in the case surfaced when the father of the deceased Soumyasekhar Sahu revealed that the family had received a strange phone call threatening of dire consequences if Soumya marries the woman, Rina Rani Sahu.

As per sources, the cyber experts will reportedly probe three key elements in the case. First, they would scrutinise the social media accounts of deceased Soumyasekhar and his wife Rina Rani Sahu who is undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital with severe burn injuries, to find out clues on the basis of their friend circles.

Secondly, it will identify all the new phone numbers detected within a diameter of 500 mts from the place where the parcel was booked.

This apart, the cyber police will thoroughly check the call records of the couple.

On the other hand, even after 15 days of the bomb blast, Bolangir police still remains clueless and continues to interrogate suspects detained in the case. Along with this, it has sought the permission of the court and forensic lab for lie-detection test of the three suspects.

Earlier on February 23, two persons including the groom Soumyasekhar of Bholanathpada and his grandmother were killed while his wife Rina sustained severe burn injuries after the parcel sent to them in the form of a marriage gift exploded.
